Jason Guerrettaz is the founder and CEO of United Commerce Group, an entrepreneur-led holding company focused on building, acquiring, operating and growing privately held businesses.

Jason began his career as a corporate attorney before moving into digital marketing and entrepreneurship. He subsequently founded United Commerce Group and began building and acquiring specialty eCommerce businesses across a variety of consumer and commercial categories.

Those early companies gave Jason first-hand experience across virtually every aspect of operating a privately held business — customer acquisition, technology, personnel, inventory, vendor management, financing, cash flow, acquisitions and ultimately business exits.

His experience buying and selling UCG’s own businesses eventually led him to co-found Website Closers, an M&A firm created specifically to represent founders and shareholders of Technology, Internet and digitally enabled companies.

That business grew into a broader group of M&A and financial services companies that today includes Website Closers, ValleyBiggs, SellerForce, DealPipe and Yaw Capital.

At the same time, Jason continued building and acquiring operating businesses outside of M&A. UCG’s portfolio has expanded into consumer products, hospitality, real estate, property management, home services and other industries.

Jason remains responsible for the overall direction of United Commerce Group and is actively involved in acquisitions, new ventures, capital allocation and strategic decisions across the portfolio.

UCG’s companies are supported by their own employees, managers and operating teams, but the group remains intentionally founder-led.
