United Commerce Group acquires established companies with strong fundamentals, durable customer demand and meaningful room to grow. We look for businesses that have already proven themselves — companies with real customers, real cash flow, strong reputations and owners who have spent years building something worth protecting.
Our Perspective
But we are not simply looking for financial assets.
We look for companies where our operating experience, capital, technology, marketing capabilities and broader portfolio can help unlock the next stage of growth. Sometimes that means expanding into new markets. Sometimes it means strengthening the management team, improving systems, accelerating customer acquisition, completing strategic acquisitions or giving a founder the resources to take the business further than they could alone.
Our perspective is different because we have been on the other side of the table.
We have built companies from the ground up, acquired businesses, managed through difficult periods, invested through growth, financed acquisitions and ultimately sold companies ourselves. We understand that a business is more than a set of financial statements. It represents years of decisions, relationships, risk, sacrifice and work.

We are deliberately flexible by industry.
Our portfolio has included companies across technology, M&A, financial services, eCommerce, consumer products, hospitality, real estate, home services and other sectors.
What matters more to us is the quality of the business.
We are particularly interested in companies with:
Proven operating history and sustainable economics
Strong customer demand or a defensible market position
Positive cash flow or a clear path to durable profitability
Brands, capabilities, customer relationships or intellectual property that are difficult to replicate
Opportunities to grow through technology, marketing, distribution, acquisitions or stronger operations
Owners who care about what happens to the business after the transaction
UCG founder Jason Guerrettaz built and acquired businesses long before UCG became a Private Equity Firm.
That means we understand the realities that don’t always appear in a financial model: making payroll, retaining good employees, dealing with customers, managing cash flow, hiring the wrong person, losing a major account, changing technology, negotiating with vendors and making decisions when there isn’t an obvious answer.
We believe that experience makes us better buyers. It also gives us a great deal of respect for what an entrepreneur has gone through to build a successful company.
Whether you’re actively considering a sale or simply want to begin a confidential conversation about the future of your company, we’d like to hear from you.
